She’s almost through the Pet Groomer Program and then there will be no stopping her!
Her mentor Jen McCarthy adds, “I sent a Rising Star nomination to my PetSuites Groom Tech student Hannah Gomez. She has gotten awesome grades on her coursework as well as her photo submission tests! She hasn’t really needed any guidance, but she has shown great determination in getting through this program. She is set to graduate a month early! Astonishing! Way to go Hannah!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I have always had a huge love for dogs. I knew I didn’t want to go into the medical field with dogs. I saw a position as a dog bather was available and I took it. Once I was in the atmosphere watching dogs getting groomed daily, I knew this is what I wanted to do. Now that I am in this program, I can tell this is my future. I enjoy every second in this industry and I can’t wait to progress in this career!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
The thing I enjoy most during the coursework was physically working on the dogs. The moment of putting my hand on the dog and actually practicing, makes me so eager to fully groom a dog and make it look its best self!
Where can we see your work?
I post most and all of my content on Instagram. I post all my pictures/videos on my feed for my friends, family and clients to see. I also got the Meta RayBan Glasses to record my grooms hands free!
What are your future goals?
My future goals is to become the best – known and appreciated. I want people to come to me knowing I am the best at what I do. I want to be well-known by the thousands to show my work to. I want to be appreciated for the work I do for this industry.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Whether you are first walking into this or have experience, PATIENCE is key.
