Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad: Part Time Rockstar Proves Anything Is Possible Through Hard Work
Meet Rising Star and Paragon Certified Professional Groom Tech Madison Moye of Petsense in Villa Rica, Georgia! Madison naturally understands that practice doesn’t simply mean perfect – you need to practice as perfectly as you can. Watching her develop her skills quickly and accurately has been a gift, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
Just ask Madison’s mentor, Suesan Watson, who shares, “Even though Madison was a part-time student, she worked very hard in Level 1. She stayed connected, reached out when she needed help, which always helps the student reach their goals quicker and learn more. I am excited to see Madison move forward to the next level, I have no doubt that she will do very well. Congratulations!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
Becoming a dog groomer was something that happened naturally for me. Growing up, I always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. Over time, I realized that grooming is an essential part of their care and well-being. The idea of combining my passion for dogs with a practical skill set seemed perfect for me, I love knowing that I have made a dog feel or look better.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I loved learning all the different techniques and tricks to help make the experience better and easier for each dog, because each dog is going to have a different experience, so learning all the different ways to make each dog feel comfortable was really fun for me to learn.
Where can we see your work?
Right now, I don’t have any place where you can see my work, but eventually, I would like to start an Instagram page for everyone to see my work.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Give yourself a lot of grace. You’re not going to be perfect at everything in the beginning, it will take a lot of practice to make you’re work perfect, and don’t overthink everything. You’ve got this!
