Meet Rising Star and Paragon Certified Professional Groom Tech Savannah Byars of Red Rover Retreat in Cedar City, Utah! Savannah’s passion for grooming shows through in every assignment, and her biggest strength is giving herself grace while learning. She’s a force to be reckoned with, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!

She was eager to get feedback on how she did a skill and if corrections were need, she couldn’t wait to apply them to her next dog. I feel Savannah will only grow from here and I am excited to see that happen!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I am passionate about dogs and their well-being! I want to contribute to helping make their lives happy and healthy.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
Learning the natural foot/paw pads was so fun! It was incredibly satisfying seeing the before and after difference. It was also my first time using my clippers so it made it super exciting.

Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Don’t expect to perfect everything right away. Practice makes perfect! There is always room to grow and become better educated – push yourself to become the best that you can be, but love who you are from beginning to end!
